The World Anew
In a world where the internet has become the simplest, most far-reaching and convenient form of expression, it almost feels wrong not to take advantage of the situation, no matter how. So, therefore, after the fabulous reviews we all received from DaveDigioia.com, I figured the time had come. We'll start slow:
The most exciting thing happening in the near future is my Vipassana Meditation. This is a 10-day extreme meditation. No talking, no meat, no drugs, no alcohol, no women. Just myself, and a room full of other "myselfs" belonging to others. My apprehensions are the '95 PathFinder surviving the trek to Massachusetts, and sitting still doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and meditating for 10 straight days. It is not going to be easy, not going to be fun, but I feel as though it will be extremely beneficial and help me get closer to realizing what in life is important.
Light meditation practice and spiritual reading has really helped me to reassess the value of different things in life. The chance and opportunity that we receive from being alive in this world is #1, and guitar collection has plummeted from #3 to god knows where.
I will be in communicado (not a city in Mexico) for about 12 days altogether. When I return to the real world and the internet, I am sure I will be dying for conversation, and have a hell of a lot to say.
Interesting links in the meantime:
15 minutes could change your day
My very very shortlived biphasic sleep attempt.Might give this another shot upon returning.
